🤓 Last Friday on immersion class we found street art on the streets of the Gothic Quarter and learned a lot about it.
Street art as we know it today probably started in Paris in the 1960’s. Like in other European countries, urban art in Spain started first in outlying neighborhoods in big cities and in metropolitan areas from where it soon spread to the rest of the country. Nowadays the most important cities when it comes to street art are Madrid and many cities to its south, but also Barcelona, Pontevedra, Zaragoza and Cuenca.
