24 Jun Recipes with Anís del Mono

Our students Anastasiya and Zara have cooked some recipes using Anís del Mono:
1- Chocolate cake with Anís del Mono (Anastasiya)
Ingredients:
250 g dark chocolate
250 g butter
180 g suger
180 g pastry flour
12-16 g baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
3 large eggs
50 ml liquor Anís del Mono
25 gr almond grains
How to make it:
1) Melt the chocolate in water bath
2) Pre-heat the oven at 200º C. Cover a 20 cm baking dish with baking paper and spread butter on it.
3) Beat the eggs in a mixing bowl, add chocolate and the Anís del Mono liquor, then beat some more until it’s all even.
4) Mix in another bowl sugar, flour, baking powder and salt. Add the almonds and mix some more.
5) Put the dough in the cake pan and into the oven for 35 minutes at 180º C.
6) If you stick a toothpick in the cake it won’t come out clean because it’s a quite moist cake. Take it out of the oven, let it cool and take it’ll be ready to be taken out of the cake pan.
7) Serve it with whip cream or ice cream.
2- Chocolate sauce with Anís del Mono (Zara)
1) Chop 2 kg of chocolate finely
2) Put the chocolate in a pan along with:
-1/4 tea cup of suger
-1/4 teaspoonful of sea salt
-1 spoon of cocoa
-1/3 cup of Anís Del Mono cream
3) Bring it all to a boil and remove from heat
4) Stir in 3 tablespoons of Carajillo Anís del Mono
5) Let it sit for 10 minutes
6) Serve it over vanilla ice cream, cake or brownies
