6 May What I learned last Friday

⛰ Last Friday on immersion class we went on a day-trip to Papiol, where we passed by the Vallvidrera stream. Also known as La Rierada, it’s the only permanente body of water in the moutain chain of Collserola.
💦 Its headwaters are located in Vallvidrera between the hills of Can Pasqual and Can Castellvi, heading south and forming a 270° curve through 12 kilometers. It then falls into the Llobregat river by Molins de Rei. La Rierada is interrupted in the Vallvidrera swamp, so the water from its source doesn’t actually reach the Llobregat – the waters from other tributary rivers do it instead.
