22 Apr What I learned last Friday

🌹Last Friday on immersion class we learned about Magic Realism, a new way to make and to understand literature, inspired by Realism itself. These stories, however, had “magic” and “marvelous” elements added to them and intertwined with reality, thus creating a totally new, different and refreshing plane.
📕In Magic Realism literature we find everyday stories filled with extraordinary situations that, nonetheless, seem not to surprise the characters. It’s a mixture between reality and unreality that worked perfectly and gained many fans across the world.
⛈An example of Magic Realism in the book “One hundred years of solitude”, by Gabriel García Márquez, is the flood that lasted over four years: “It rained four years, eleven months and two days”.
