Last Friday on immersion class we visited the Cemetery of Poblenou and learned about the cult to Francesc Canals i Ambrós, aka Santet. Francesc was born on Ciutat Vella in 1877 and died on 1899 at the age of 22. In 1908 City Hall decided to transfer his tomb to a bigger space due to the ever-increasing amount of worshippers. His tomb now has a glass cover through which people can insert notes with their wishes to Santet.

We invite you to watch an event that will pay an homage to all citizens that volunteered as translators during the health crisis. The event will be held on Oct 21st. Last Friday on immersion class we visited the cemetery of Poblenou with our teachers Karina and Noelia. We learned a bit of its history and popular traditions related to the cemetery. We had a blast!
