8 Feb Grammar tip

On our LIPEANDO A1 guide by BCNLIP we’ll also study the verb GUSTAR (to like).
This verb has a different structure if compared to other verbs, where they change according to the person’s action. For instance, the verb VIVIR (to live): yo vivo, tú vives, ella vive, nosotros vivimos…
The verb GUSTAR has only two forms: GUSTA and GUSTAN. It does not change according to the person, it changes according to either singular or plural. If what you like is a singular noun (a t-shirt, the city, the dog) or an action (to travel, to sing, to dance) we use GUSTA. If what you like is plural (t-shirts, cities, dogs) you should use GUSTAN.
A mí me GUSTA la camiseta (singular). A mí me GUSTAN las camisetas (plural).
Y a ti, ¿qué cosas te gustan? We’re waiting for your comments!
