Religion and social work: on this class we’ll visit the nuns of the Comunidad del Cordero to watch them sing. Later we’ll learn a bit about monastic life and, in the end, a couple of students of ours who are missionaries will talk about their work.
Here are some of the words and expressions our students learned on immersion class last week.
Last Friday, on our first immersion class of the Month of Spirituality, we learned about meditation. We saw a general chronology of meditative practices and how they reached the West. Also, we learned basic vocabulary related to those practices and medidated together in the end.
Montserrat is the most important mountain chain in Catalonia. Aside from being a gorgeous natural heritage site, it’s also been considered a mystic place ever since a statue of the Virgin Mary was found there in 1880. The statue is known as La Moreneta, patron saint of Catalonia.
