To learn a language means to live it! Last Friday our students had an immersion class about the history of the Liceu theater in Barcelona. They took a walk on the surroundings, learned vocabulary about the world of theater and opera, found out stories about fires, reconstructions and much more about this important building located on the Ciutat Vella district.

This month the movie we will watch is Tacones Lejanos, by Pedro Almodóvar. It’s about a mother that returns after 15 years and finds her daughter married to her (the mother’s) ex.
After the movie we will have a debate session with our teacher Carlos Alberto, to talka bout everyone’s impressions about the film.

Last Friday on immersion class we got to know a little about the history and the myths about the Gran Teatre del Liceu, the oldest active theater in Barcelona. It’s a very renowned theater due to its operas and therefore it was elected as a theme for the first immersion class on the Music Month.
